Questions frequently asked of Micah + Kate

Q. So, what's the dress code?

A. Excellent question! For better or worse, our answer is somewhat nebulous: Just wear whatever you feel!* More concretely, wear whatever semiformal duds make you feel awesome. Protip: We'll be dancing our faces off (and hope you'll join us)–comfortable shoes are recommended.

*Shirts and shoes required, alas.

Q. Can I bring my kids to the reception?

A. While we love your little ones, we should point out that Bottom of the Hill is a rock venue/bar and perhaps not the kid-friendliest of environments. We highly encourage you to take advantage of an adults' night out. That said, if having to make childcare arrangements would prevent you from coming, bring the whole fam!

Q. Will you serve dinner?

A. Indeed we shall! Rather than hosting a formal dinner, we'll be having passed small bites that represent our shared gustatory preferences. In addition, there'll be lots of other snacks you can enjoy at will (local charcuterie and cheese, seasonal veggies + dips, flatbreads, etc.). Dessert-wise, we're having a pie and doughnut bar. Cocktails, of course, will flow in abundance.

If you're worried that small bites + pie might not fuel your night of dancing, feel free to grab a light dinner beforehand and nosh throughout the evening. (Among Midwesterners, this is known as pregaming.)

Q. But wait: Will there be dancing?

A. YES.
